Bold & Size brings up a box instead of inserting codes

What happened? It used to be if you clicked the button for boldface or size change, codes would be inserted. Now I get a popup box to enter text, and I can't figure out how to combine features. Is it something with my settings, or is everybody getting this?

At w... (you know, not at home), I get the box. At home, I just insert. No idea why.

Sounds as if the vB Code box to the left of the format options got switched from Enhanced Mode to Normal Mode. Choose Enhanced Mode, or choose it again and refresh.

Normal Mode: When you choose a format option, a box pops up, and you enter the text to be formatted in the box.

Enhanced Mode: When you choose a format option, the opening code for that format option gets inserted.

Everything's still working the way it used to for me (I use Enhanced Mode).

P.S.--If you've chosen Enhanced Mode and you still get a popup box, I suggest switching to a different skin and trying again. It may be that the admins. accidentally disabled Enhanced Mode in whatever skin you're using. If you discover that, you can tell them about it. The skin that I'm using, in which Enhanced Mode still works fine, is "crappy lo-res, lo-fi blue."

Thanks. It was the mode thing. My settings must have changed because I lost my cookie when I ran a drive cleanup/maintenance program. After that I saw that it has a cookie keeper list for ones I don't want deleted.
