I think you spelled his name wrong. Isn't it Islam Karimov? Beyond that, if you have something to say, why not say it? Eh, eh, ehhh?

nah, I know how to spell it. I'm just an idiot and didn't type it right.

but how 'bout him eh? major violator of human rights, horrible dictator, offical state policy of daily torture for all prisoners.

but he's not like Saddam, he's our friend. he only tortures the bad guys.

an interesting chap you don't hear much about. figured I'd see if anyone had any neat Karimov anicdotes. He went pretty far in the former soviet union for a guy named "Islam."

Hmmm. I detect a theme here: Only acknowledge the problems with allies, but ignore the problems with enemies at all costs. The "I am my own worst enemy" philosophy will only take you so far. Usually to a prescription of zoloft or a heroin additiction.

Nah, I much prefer your theme of "two wrongs make a right."

I've never said that. You've said that--without articulating better ways to fight the terrorists, I might add. And I'm not referring to the Uzbeks here.

Oh yeah? Well it takes two to tango.

Apples and oranges.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

My dog ate my homework.

One never feels alone when one is wearing squeaky shoes.

Only dead fish swim with the stream.

While Eeyore frets ... and Piglet hesitates ... and Owl pontificates ... Pooh just is.

You've finally hit on something I can relate too. A A Milne pretty well nailed the human condition IMO. (Not that Disney shit either)
