Joey DeFrancesco

Just saw Joey with Clint Strong on guitar, Marchel Ivory on tenor sax, and the amazing Andrew Griffith on drums--it was so cool!! The concert was at the University of Texas at Dallas--the place was sold out but my friends and I were able to get third row seats for $5. The sound was great, the musicians were fantastic, and I had such a great time. They played from about 8:30 'till around 10 (10:30?? I don't remember)without taking a break--except for when Andrew took an extended solo and the other guys left. Clint was awesome, man. I'd never seen him before, and I am so glad I was able to this time. Marchel was wonderful, as always--luckily I live where I can see him and Andrew Griffith rather often. It was so great watching them with people like Joey and Clint. I've always loved the Hammond B-3, and I've never heard it this good. Last night was awesome.
