I have left JC. If my deletions disrupt continuity, please accept my apology, but JC is no longer the place to be, as far as I am concerned.

Is that a scary picture or what?
Gordon, what's the betting on Jacko's reaching 50?

Patti and I were in Santa Barbara last Saturday, but didn't see Jacko, thankfully. We did see some very interesting folks, however, including one I've dubbed Mr. Banjo, a photograph of whom I hope to share with you soon.

Wazzup All!
If any of us did what this man has been accused of doing, we'd be behind bars! Makes ya wonder, do you think the bruthas'll watch Michaels back, or do Michael's back!? No need to wonder what the white supremecists'll do, that's for sure!!
I'm sorry, but this dude needs to pay for the atrocities he's committing. I say stick him in Gen Pop!

I don't think the "the bruthas" will have Jacko's back, whomever they are. If you're speaking of black males, collectively, MJ in a recent interview referred to urban blacks as "spabooks." Now. . .I'm not sure what means, but it doesn't sound all that affable. So in answer to your bizarre question, no, I do not think the bruthas will have Jacko's back.

Disfiguring one's own face may be creepy and horrifying, but it's not a crime. Molesting minors is a crime.

Wow! Lookee here. A thread started by Chris, where Rita, Greg, and myself have all contributed, and not a cross word between any of us!
I'm feeling a softer gentler JC in the air!
Maybe the answer to Monte's question is that yes, indeed, we cain all git along.

I used to bash Michael Jackson with the best of them (and you all know how wickedly I can bash). But somehow, seeing that TV special early this year just made be feel so much pity for the guy. If he's guilty of abusing children, he should be dispatched. But beyond that, the guy's just a poor messed up Peter Pan wanna-be who looks like Mrs. Haversham.
And I say this with a copy of THRILLER in the CD player of the Ford Taurus. I can't help it if I still think "Billie Jean" is just a kicking good pop tune.
By the way, I was at Border's. It looks like Mike's just had a career-spanning best-of compilation released. Can't beat the timing.
Beat it, beat it.

Billie Jean IS a kickin good pop tune. As was most of that album. Can't fault the guys talent, thats for sure. And I think that may have been the last album he did before he *snapped*.

I think Michael's is probably the saddest celebrity saga of all time. Or at least my lifetime.
I don't know if MJ is a child molester, but it deeply saddens me that child molestation is not taken seriously enough in this country that pedophiles can buy their victims off--the catholic church comes to mind--without criminal charges. That shouldn't be allowed with respect to children.
On the other hand, Michael's tv specials were setting himself up for something like this. The guy takes kids in his bed for god's sake...what did he think was going to happen?

The "King of Pop" amassed a half-billion-dollar fortune over the past 20 years, but his former financial advisers have said, in a lawsuit last spring, that he is saddled with debt and teetering near bankruptcy. Current financial advisers have denied that claim.
Jackson has appeared weak and ghostly pale at many of his recent public appearances, and his own attorneys have said has been involved in nearly 1,000 lawsuits.

If this is true and MJ has been involved with around a thousand lawsuits, what were they all about? I haven't heard of any other pop stars being sued as much as this. Is Michael just paying off the parents of molested children and getting away with it?

If Michael has been molesting kids this whole time, the parents who received settlement monies should be sued too for not sparing other kids down the road. Were they all without conscience? I still don't get this aspect of it, that if he's been paying people off, that he should be allowed to continue being around children (and plenty of them). This makes no sense to me. (Or letting one's kids over there in the first place quite frankly.) Where were the parents of this voluminous harem? That's another thing about the tv specials--I don't recall seeing one parent in the Neverland coverage, at least in his house.

If indeed a search warrant has been issued for Michael Jackson, how difficult could it be to locate and arrest him? Even among the hordes of goofy looking people in Las Vegas, Jacko should stand out pretty well, I'd think.

Michael Jackson should be in a mental hospital and I only have to take one look at his face to know it.
Our society is so ridiculously tolerant of celebrities it makes me sick.
If I had a child, there is no way he would ever sleep over another grown man's house for that man's pleasure, especially not Michael Jackson.
I know Michael was talented, but it was Quicy Jones that really made him as far as I'm concerned, and the amazing musicians he worked with.

A SATIRE / PARODY to the tune of ...you know
"Really mean"
[1st Verse]
I'm just a little white guy, I don't look very fly
I started off black and you wonder why, but still I Am The One
Who will do stupid things and act really really unsound
They said I am the one who will act really really really unsound
[2nd Verse]
He told me he was eighteen I know it caused a scene
but I thought that he was just really short for a teen
but then I am unsound, really really unsound
[Bridge]
People never told me Be Careful Of What You Do
And Don't Go Around Breaking young peoples hearts
And Mother Always Told Me watch dad after dark with his belt
And be Careful Of What You Do 'Cause The Lie Becomes The Truth
[Chorus]
Insert any name they are not my lover
They're lawyer's just claim thatt\ I Am The One
I treat these kids as if they're my Son
and yet they say I am one telling what I'm supposed to have done
[3rd Verse]
So they stayed some days and some nights
sleeping right by my side
but it cost me a lot all most all I had canned
and most of my pension plan
'Cause I am really unsound, yeah really really unsound
So I took my lawyers advice not just once or twice
(Nn No No not twice)
[4th Verse]
I held my Baby they said like a threat
just showing him Berlin
Then they showed a photo of my new face
Only the eyes look like mine
Far out I am unsound, yeah really really unsound
[Bridge]
My people always tell me be careful what I do
keep it all close to my heart
and only Liz has ever stood by me
cause she wants to sell her Perfume
I better get help really soon
or hole up like Howard in my room
[Chorus]
Really mean you guys are really mean
Claims dont mean a thing don't mean what I have done
and I treat them all like they were my son
Really mean, you guys are really mean
Just cause some lawyers have all done the sums
no has proved anything Im supposed to have done
really mean you guys are really mean
really mean you guys are really mean
really mean you guys are really mean
really mean you guys are really mean
really mean you guys are really mean

This court document from the 1993 civil suit is pretty disturbing, to say the least. I had never seen it until today.

Mike may not buy his way out of this one. I think Cali's passed a law where a victim could be coerced into testifying. Also, this isn't a civil suit (not yet).
As for the evolution of Mike's face he's just living the dream. Look at any copy of Ebony or Jet from the '60s and see all the ads for skin bleachers and hair straighteners.
Actually, the one cat who kick-started Mike's solo career is this Brit dude named Rod Temperton who was with the '70s soul group Bloodstone. Check out the "Off the Wall" LP. Temperton's alll over the thing.
I'm with Chris concerning "Q". Quincy's a facilitator only, has been one since "The Dude".
