shameless bragging

I just got the results from the uniform final exam that I wrote in September (that is the exam for qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) - the Cdn equivalent of the CPA) and I PASSED! Thank God!

Nice work, Claude! I remember the agony of waiting to find out about my bar exam results. Take the exam in July, but don't get the results until late November.

Congrats!

Way to go, Claude!! Was that the first time you took it; I'm not trying to impugn your accomplishment because I know that in a lot of states some very smart people have needed more than one try to pass the CPA.

Have you passed the California State High School Exit exam?

Perhaps the CAT6?

CSET?

CLAD?

CLAD2?

CBEST?

SADIE?

You'd never be a teacher in THIS state, big guy.

This was my first go around, but to be fair I have been working in this business for 13 years so I may have had an unfair advantage. It's true that a lot of very smart people and good accountants don't get it on the first try. I'm not sure how it works with the CPAs but the system here seems to be one where it's a competitive evaluation (ie: they decide how many they want to pass ahead of the final evaluations and set the standards to reach that % pass rate).
