Digging North Sea Oil, Baby...

Ex-energy minister aims to jazz up Britain's gas market

Lord Moynihan, as the head of Consort, is set to rename North Sea oilfields after great jazz legends. The former energy minister claims that if Shell can name fields after birds then Miles Davis and Duke Ellington will make good fields.

Hopefully there will be a subset of fields reserved for the likes of Jimmy McGriff, Red Holloway, etc. Call it the North Sea Grease Patch...
