Girl in that outdoor grill commercial

I haven't seen it in a while, but last summer it was on all the time. It's a TV commercial for a grill, can't remember the brand name. Anyway, there's a guy walking in a park, and two girls approach him and stoop down to start fawning over what you assume is a baby ("He's so cuuuute!" etc.), but you can't see for sure. The camera reveals that it's this grill, which the guy is "walking" in the park. Pretty stupid commercial.

The girl in the pigtails, however, is probably my next wife. She's the one who writes her phone number on the guy's palm. Any information the pop culture sleuths can uncover for me would be greatly appreciated.

Using people whenever possible,
Larry

OK. Exhaustive research (read: Google search) has uncovered that the brand name is Char-Broil. Providing I'm not getting a false "positive" from the memory banks on that name.

Useless,
Larry

We could make it a double wedding if Vibes can get me the name and address of the one in the Michelob ad who engages in a swimming race with her partner.

I still haven't completely gotten over the dark-haired woman on the beach in that old Miller beer commerical. The one who some cowboy makes a circle around with his boot. Who's got her pic lying around?

I'll take the chick in the expedia commercial. You know, the one who's boyfriend asks if she wants to take surfing lessons?

The husband of a friend of mine works for Orbitz and I tell her they'll always be at a commercial disadvantage until they begin to populate their ads with as many unusually attractive women as does Expedia. The would-be surfer, the one reluctant to share the flight to Cleveland with the creepy office guy and, especially, the one considering booking her parents into the modern hotel are all somewhat scrumptious.

And the mosquito netting girl! Jeez, you're right, Brian. Whoever the casting agent is has the same uncanny eye as the HR person at a law firm I used to work at.

And smug smirks can be damned attractive, as well as the ability to swim laps without getting long hair in your face.

Well, fine. But no way does she beat the guy by so much that she is out of the pool and drinking by the time he finishes. If they did two laps, maybe.....

I'm all for Expedia wanna-surf woman as well.

I always had a problem with that back in my young years. Thank god (not Trane) I sold out and cut it. Swimming is so much easier now.

Larry, you're in luck!

Char-Broil is actually the girl's name as well as the product. I found this bio online:

Charlene Broilsworth (aka Char-Broil, spokesbody for Char-Broil Grills) broke into the acting business at the tender age of 14 when she worked as a hand model for Oscar Meyer Weiner on a regional TV commercial. "It was a bit part--I just laid a weiner down on the grill. But ever since then," Char states "just the smell of lighterfluid gets my juices going. I knew that no career could ever compete with the sheer excitement of promoting outdoor cookery." Still, finding that elusive (and exclusive) sponsor took some doing. After many callbacks and false starts with other Bar-B-Que manufacturers (including a traumatic audition with George Foreman, the details of which Char will not comment on except to say "It doesn't get rid of ALL the fat, that's for sure"), she finally found her home with the folks whose product resembled her own name. "It is a match made in heaven" says the perky young model, pigtails quaking with excitement as she prepares to shoot a new spot. Upcoming opportunities to glimpse this picnic-food pro at work include a cameo in the new Martin Lawrence cop thriller/comedy due later this summer. Char will be grilling (what else) hot dogs in a park as Lawrence speeds by in pursuit of a criminal. AS an added bonus, Char will be temporarily employed by the craft services team on the movie, so the stars will actually get to eat her props.

I like how contemplative you look in that photograph.
(remember not to blow this for me, dammit.)

Curious if the reaction to the gals in the expedia ads was a widespread phenomenon, I googled on "expedia commercials" + "beautiful". Only one hit, a blog with a thread largely about the Cooper ad (though no particular mention of the cutie therein) which gradually turned into a female poster orgy over the blond surfing instructor.

One odd thing: one of the contributors signed himself as "kevin drum" Hmmmm..... (for the benefit of non-eai-listening posters to this thread, Kevin Drumm is a noted guitarist on that scene)
