Superbowl

Now, why no "MAN" on this board thought about this poll yet?

Panthers to win in a surprisingly high scoring game (+50 pts). That's what it says on my ticket anyway.....

None of the above. I don't follow football. I think I'm the only person in the country that doesn't watch the Super Bowl...........

You can usually lump me along with Jimmy - the trouble is once the local boys get on a roll, it's hard to extract the hook from the roof of your mouth.

I lost all interest after those lousy calls by the Packer coach.

I like the Pats to win, they'd be my hometown team if I lived in Foxborough...

I don't really do football, though. At least not as presented on TV, where something happens, then three guys tell you what happened, and show it in slo-mo, and the process is repeated and repeated, interrupted only by timely commercial messages. Idiotic. At least with hoops you have to actually pay attention.

isn't it Foxboro? are both spellings allowed?

I voted for Mone's boys. I missed the first Super Bowl that the Patriots won (Keith Rowe et. al. concert in Boston that night, I didn't missed the idiots filling the streets afterwards), and I'm going to try to pay as little attention as I can to this one if they look like they're going to win again.

I won't be watching the game either, but based on what very little I know, I'll say:

Panthers 21 Patriots 20

Those boots could keep a gal's feet warm even at an outdoor game out east. If I was a betting man, though, I'd take Carolina and the points. Luckily, I'm not a gambling man as far as anyone can prove.

Go Fedorov!

Biscuits and twigs, baby.

Well said, BT. I can't believe I'm gonna watch ANOTHER endless crunchball game.

But I am.

Problem is, if you cut out the untangling, the huddles, the replays, the commercials, etc. the whole game lasts about 8 minutes.....Actually, that'd be about enough for me.

Man, what's with all the football haters here?

I took New England to win. But as a bettor I gotta say that that price on New England is too high, so I also have Carolina + the points.

That would be a Traditional Interest in Volleyball Opinions?

Yeah, if it involves cute women, bathing suits and diving in the sand. I guess so.

Brian,

If Jimmy declines, I have an offer of my own: You supply the Lagavulin and Cohibas and spring for the airline ticket, and I'm there.

Making the worst offers in recorded history,
Larry

Look for at least one Pats defensive touchdown and I wouldn't be surprised if it belongs to Ty Law.

One of you guys punch me in the face or something so I'll know I didn't just hallucinate this question. Whatever happened to Bob Rimbaud? He'd punch me.

Feeling the answer "yes" oozing out of every pore,
Larry
