About What We Live and the Strings Attached Series:

The long-standing trio, What We Live, will make a rare Bay
Area appearance at Berkeley's Jazz House. W.W.L.
presents a four day series beginning on Wednesday
February 25th with the core trio of Lisle Ellis,
Lawrence Ochs, and Donald Robinson and a guest
guitarist on each subsequent night. The guest
guitarists, John Schott, Fred Frith and Nels Cline are
at the forefront of contemporary improvised music and
among the most respected and sought after
instrumentalists and creators in their field. This event promises
to be one the highlights in music for 2004 in the Bay
Area.

>Originally from Canada, Lisle Ellis was the first
>recipient of the prestigious Fred Stone Award in 1990,
>given annually in Canada to a musician who
>demonstrated innovation and integrity in their field.

The Jazz House is located at 3192 Adeline Street in
Berkeley, a half block southwest of the Ashby BART.
(Please note there is an incorrect Adeline Street in
Oakland.)
