MESSAGE FROM STEVE FULGONI -- REGARDING THE COLTRANE HOUSE:
Hello All,
On Tuesday, March 23, the Huntington Town Council voted unanimously to schedule a public hearing to consider designating the Coltrane Home as a historic landmark.
The Public Hearing date is set for Tuesday April 20 at 7pm at Huntington Town Hall, 100 Main Street, Huntington NY.
Simply said .... This is the moment we've been waiting for !!!
At the public hearing, the Council members will listen to anyone who wants to speak and give their opinion about the Coltrane home. As a result of the input, the Town Council will vote for or against, the landmark designation of the home. This is the vote that counts !! This is it !! A positive vote by the Council will save the home from demolition.
WE NEED YOU!! To come to Town Hall on April 20th at 7pm. Bring your friends, neighbors and anyone that you think is in support of our efforts.
We should have as many speakers as possible, at least 25 or more. The format is that anyone is allowed to speak for 3 minutes, so write a few paragraphs and c'mon down.
We will need musicians, educators, neighbors, fans, etc.
Given the media coverage, don't be surprised if local TV and news reporters are there.
This is our chance to make history !!
Please mark your calendars and I will see you there. Check my website
www.dixhills.com for the latest updates. Also I just posted the videos of the NBC-TV coverage
Please let me know if you plan to attend / speak at the public hearing. I want to make sure we have enough people.
Thanks
Steve Fulgoni
