If we had the "Who's on line" feature we'd maybe know more.
His last siting was that he is trying to figure out how to post a poll (see profile, last post)

Oh, and did anyone give Lund directions to the new place? Please say you didn't

Lund is a big boy now,he'll find his way. Fer sure, he needs a computer to do it.

I don't know how that would help, but anyway, at the bottom of each post is a blue note graphic. A reddish-pink dot appears in the blue note when the poster is online
--unless the poster has activated the "invisibility" option, as I have.
: D

So theoretically, one could look at any of Steve's posts to find out whether he's online.

Goody hasn't made it, either. He probably took one look and got confused.

I wonder if anyone has signed up with a different name without telling anyone who they are. It's a mystery to me why people do that.

Steve, if you are reading this, I bet it is because you're registered but can't figure out why you can't post. You need to check your email (must use valid email) and click the link to complete the registration.

Speaking of Goodie (knowing Reynolds will *never* abandon ship), has anyone heard from him since his cancer-scare thread at the old Alley? That thread had disappeared when I went back to check on it a second time.

Good to see that in any new JC format - I can still be a thread-killer.

Just to answer the question the thread began with, Steve's first post was on March 24th on the "Top Ten Trumpeters" thread.

Wrong, Tom. According to a search for Reynolds' posts in members his first post was on the WAYLT thread.

Ah, but the thread question is NOT about his first post but his first THREAD!

I think for his first one he's going to be stoked, so it will be so esoteric and self-referential none of us will ever know what he meant. Maybe he'll forget, too.
Like Browning: 'When I wrote this, only God and I knew what it meant; now only He knows."

I say Steve's first thread will be either be "Brotz-Parker-Drake Live at Tonic" or some new Evan Parker release in the Record reviews section.

Steve's first thread will undoubtedly be a rave review of the brand new Eremite 2 cd release by Brotzmann/Parker/Drake, Never too Late But Always Too Early, which happens to kick some serious ass.

It was recorded live in April 2001 in Montreal, Canada.
