Jazz Pianist Bill Evans to Appear on Queer Eye For the Straight Guy

Jazz Pianist Bill Evans to Appear on Queer Eye For the Straight Guy

Author and renowned jazz critic Ken Cheveux will follow up his latest masterpiece and New York Times bestseller Kinds of 'do: The Story of Miles Davis's hair with Nobody Digs Bill Evans' Beard. With Nobody Digs..., Cheveux intends to examine the pianist's complete lack of fashion sense during his transformation from scrawny geek to bearded Neanderthal.

As part of the book's promotional effort, publisher's Schneider & Haar posthumously booked the latter-version Evans on Bravo's immensely popular Queer Eye For the Straight Guy. Discovering that Evans, in fact, has been dead since 1980 didn't discourage the “Fab 5” from tackling this challenging subject. With a stack of research photos and the assistance of gay CGI-guru Tyler Bartlesby, show stars Kyan Douglas and Carson Kressley miraculously transform the slovenly Evans into a dashing Cary Grant-like lady's man. As Kressley declares, “there's a handsome devil under that hairy bespectacled beast!”

The Evans makeover episode is scheduled to air in December.

Obviously they don't actually *listen* to the music. How can you care about fashion in the presence of that kind of genius. I'm always sad to hear " who's Bill Evans" when I mention his name in a conversation. Obviously these queer guys have NO music sense at all...sadly!
