Pole: Is it possible that Reynolds was truthful when he said he was from Jersey?
If so, what exit?

He may be addressing the spirit of Chopin.

No--that was just a cover story. Reynolds is from Saturn.

I don't think Reynolds ever claimed he was physically from New Jersey. To me, it always seemed more of an evocation, a conjuring up of industrial parks, trade shows, hazardous chemicals and loose wires, Jersey as a metaphor for the turn-of-the-millennium Worldwide Curse of The Bambino.

Or the exit off the Jersey Tpk. with all the chemical tanks on the side.

clever. you'd feel silly if you saw where he actually lived, down the street from where I grew up.

Why would I feel silly, Jon, if he came from Saturn, your old hood, or near the exit on the JTP with the most tanks on the side?

Why is this thread in the Speakeasy?
The photo is named "Reynolds' New Jersey" and was taken not far from his house.

again, not true, that photo is of Hudson County (where I live), Reynolds lives in the burbs, Essex County. anyone who watches the opening credits of the Sopranos sees the difference between the industrial part of NJ when you first leave the city and the burbs where Tony (and Reynolds) lives (different burbs, but still).

OK.
I'll be dead honest with you guys here. I miss reading Reynold's stuff as much as you all do, but it is fairly apparent to me that these threads dedicated to the man are having little effect.
It is becoming nothing less than BBS clutter, I am sad to say, but it is painfully obvious he ain't coming back.
I think we move on, folks.

So you're ANTI-clutter? I wouldn't have guessed.

Didn't Reynolds stick his head out of his spider hole on a thread last week, if only to say boo? The question is, how many do the Red Sox have to win in a row before he's done hibernating?

As Reynolds is my witness, I purposely misspelled Poll as Pole.
