Yeah, it's true--the major labels arrange for more or less the same big names to turn up at every jazzfest across Canada, & often the Canada Council arranges for the same Canadian musicians to tour every single festival too. Still, there's definitely more than one jazz festival here! I assume the original poster was writing about the one in Montreal?

btw, I have a feeling our fest this year's gonna be quite remarkable. I only know a few things, which would be enough to make me cross the continent. So, start looking into your plane tix & holiday planning, kids... June 25 to July 4...no shilling just a fan, in case there are doubts. I will be running 3 nights of music concurrently, however.
