Six Degrees of AMG

It's a little game I play when I'm online and bored.
You've got one artist's page up on the AMG site and you want to go to another artist but you're too lazy to type and only want to use the mouse.

You go under the bio section to the "Related Artists" area and click on someone through which you may find someone else totally different, and so on.

For example: Let's say I'm on the Nirvana page and I want to get to Yanni.

Nirvana > Ben Folds Five > The Moog Cookbook > Rick Wakeman > Yanni.

Anthony Braxton to Britney Spears?

Braxton > Jackie McLean > George Gershwin > Judy Garland > Donna Summer > Debbie Gibson >Britney Spears

G.G. Allin to Vic Damone?

GG Allin > Alice Cooper > David Foster > Barbara Steisand > Eydie Gorme > Steve Lawrence > Vic Damone

Give it a shot. Tons of fun for the whole family

Karlheinz Stockhausen to Kevin Bacon

Stockhausen > John Cage > Spiritualized > Neil Young > Bob Dylan > Bruce Springsteen > Kevin Bacon (of the Bacon Brothers)

Underhound, there's a "Six Degrees of Maynard Ferguson" thread out there somewhere you ought to check out (maybe in the Archives).

Took a couple of tries before I got the hang of this and improved my chances of getting something interesting (i.e., a considerable stylistic gap between the first and last artists):

Don Byron > The Klezmorim > Andy Statman > Boiled in Lead > The Pogues > Dexy's Midnight Runners

Anthony Braxton -> Sun Ra -> Pink Floyd -> Queen -> Black Sabbath -> GWAR

sorry, that's a weak first attempt...

Call me stupid, but what's "AMG"?
Edit: Don't call me stupid anymore, I just found it.

I dunno if this turns up in AMG: (I get mixed up with an English keyboard player of the same name on that site )

But : ( these are unrecorded performances , mind you ..)

Phil Kelly > Walter Bishop Jr >Bird

Phil Kelly> Larry Gales > Monk

Phil Kelly> Red Garland > Miles

Phil Kelly > Pete Christlieb > Zappa
