The Onion Gets Taken Seriously

Yes, it appears that the Beijing Evening News ran the story about Congress demanding a retractable roof or it would bolt Washington, D.C. And apparently some moron in Michigan issued a press release stating that Al Qaeda was now engaging in telemarketing, after reading the Onion.

No, I am not making this up.

I'm biting my lip, and just deleted a potential post. I'm proud of my restraint.

Really. I mean, who would take the paper of record for the US seriously, anyway. Much better to have your mind cast forever in a concrete ideology -- indeed, hagiography.

so what's so upsetting, really. willie's response was so-o-o predictable...of course not well thought out.....and i think we all have our problems with nyt since it is so influential...

.i wonder if willie has ever held a sunday edition of the nyt's in his hand???? probably not..

.all that said, nyt is still america's greatest paper ....beyond or despite or whatever the editorial policies or problems ...

...anyway what does willie know....he hasnt even started fucking yet..

his location...'hell'..that means he's grounded in his room another weekend..
