Because it wasn't on in mine.

It wasn't here; I assume it was a network decision.

My wife told me on Tuesday night that she heard an announcement that 24 was postponed a week due to the president's speech that night and subsequent scheduling difficulties.
I'll never understand why speeches have to be televised on every network. Put them on one - take turns - anything !!

The episode originally scheduled for last Tuesday is on Sunday night at the usual time so set your TIVO, VCR, or your butt.
I came down to watch it at 10PM on Tuesday and then saw that it wasn't TIVO'ed. I was not happy. Then I went to fox.com and found that it was moved due to the President's speech. To my surprise and temporary glee, there was a new episode of the WPT TIVO'ed. It was the "Celebrity Home Game." The celebrity players were awful. Lolida Davidovitch had the nut full house on the river. She couldn't possibly lose. Everybody checked to her, and she checked!

HBO repeats shows constantly, if you don't have digital cable On Demand (my Comcast system has it on a few hours after it airs for free viewing anytime to HBO subscribers), I'm sure it'll be on again on Monday or Tuesday.
more importantly, 24 (a show I don't watch) bumps Arrested Development, one of the few I do, although it's been a bit shaky lately.
you 24 fans will appreciate this (don't think I posted this here before): my younger brother is pretty extreme, and he hadn't seen any of 24 when the DVD came out of the first season, so he bought it and watched it straight through in real time. he might have done this with season 2 also, I'm not sure...

Doug, I will check it out this weekend.
You need to get your TIVO set up so that you can record two shows at once. I'll record 24 to watch on Monday and watch Sopranos live on my RPTV in HD. I've pre-ordered the HD TIVO but it still hasn't been released.

Thanks, guys. jon is right--I can catch it Monday, but I just have avoid conversations about it till then, which is always a minor drag for me. I have Dish Network's version of tivo, and I don't think it can record two shows at once.
Funny about the 24 marathon!

I watched the last two hours of '24' last night to catch up. Saunders' daughter is going to save the U.S. from millions of deaths. Of course, CTU will capture or kill Saunders but there will be some sort of outbreak from the philanderer who got out of the hotel.

You have no idea how relieved I am that Kim Bauer was not successfully kidnapped and placed in the 'daughter in distress' role any longer than necessary. There are still a few hours left so it might happen, but even still--whew.
I really admire the producers of this show. It is consistently stretching the traditional 'crime drama' approach of television. I only hope Michelle's test comes back with good news...but I doubt it very much.

Yeah but that would be kinda hokey; almost as hokey as her old man running around for 18 hours straight after being shot at close range in the neck!!!
