This Columbia University Center for Jazz Studies public program will
explore BeBop as a dance music - a formulation that is not often
recognized. A constellation of Jazz legends including the pianist Sir
Charles Thompson, drummer Eddie Locke, bassist Earl May and tap legend
Mr. Jimmy Slyde, will investigate the connection of BeBop and dance in
performance. Be sure not to miss this rare opportunity to see an
historic collaboration.
