Grace Testani and NYU offer NEW Vocal Jazz Workshop

Grace Testani and The Singers Center team up with NYU to offer new Vocal Jazz Workshop

New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies to offer “All That Jazz … Singing Workshop” taught by renown jazz singer and educator, Grace Testani, Director of The Singers Center.

New York, NY, April 1, 2004: NYU will offer a 10-session Vocal Jazz workshop entitled “All That Jazz … Singing Workshop” (course ID: 44508) beginning Monday May 17, 2004 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The course will be taught by Grace Testani, Director of The Singers Center. Anyone who has ever dreamed of becoming a jazz singer is welcome – amateurs and professionals alike.

If you always wanted to sing jazz, here is your opportunity! As a professional singer and long time educator, Ms. Testani has designed this course to unleash the student’s creativity in a fun, performance-oriented environment. Students can expect to learn how to interpret songs and scat (improvise), choose repertoire, transpose songs into their own key, determine styles and tempos that works best for them, and create simple arrangements -- all with live accompaniment.
