So I'm flipping channels and I catch this music video. Jessica Simpson, covering Berlin's Take My Breath Away. I f**king hate Jessica Simpson. I'm hard pressed to think of a celebrity who is so pleased with herself. Hey, Jess, how's about you do me a favor? Take your boy band husband and move the f**k out of the country. Then, get religious or something and vow to never perform again. Whatever it takes so I never have to look at you or listen to you again. OK? Super. Thanks.

Starting a trend of Vacation Week Ramblings,
Larry

I heard that Jessica is leaving her husband for Rod Stewart. The new couple met while working on a series of Motown duets.

Then again, I may be mistaken.

Oh, yeah! Bora Bora! It's all good. Should I reserve a smoking or non-smoking room?

Booking the flight,
Larry

Oh, and Peppercorn... She can call me Nags. She can call me baby. I'm so f**king easy and all.

Well, you smoke cigar, and I'll more than likely smoke one too, so.. take a smoking room.

Got it. Smoking room. I'll have to make sure it's also a "drinking room."

Guilty of many vices,

With the exception of my grandchildren, wife and drum students, the only commitment I have is to not "work" every week, beginning about eleven years ago. It could be worse.

Listening to Mose Allison as I type, whilst contemplating my first fly fishing outing soon.

Enjoy your week, Larry.

Yeah, come on down! I promise you a good hard day's work for nonexistant wages. In other words, not much different from what you're used to as a public school teacher.

IMHO a vacation needs to be a trip to some cool place or it's just time off.

Since I'm only putting in about 22 hours a week at the office (which I enjoy), I have a lot of goofing off time and I use it!

Sometimes aging is not all it's cracked up to be, but at a certain stage, it beats working for some tight-fisted asshole with no vision. No pun intended.
