It says a lot about this site that I'm devoting a thread to this.

Even more disturbing, I own a cdr of the song.
But seriously, what in the hell could possibly be passing through the minds of the people who made stuff like this and that insane Mr. T footage? There is something seriously wrong with those responsible--psychiatric evaluations are definitely in order.

Excellent, I will never look at Leonard the same way again.
Who was the choreographer?

I'd actually seen this before - it's about damned time someone posted it. Kudos to Mone for enriching the cultural experience here at JC.

I guess he was trying to capitalize on Shatner's success in the music biz.

It adds prestige whenever I see the credit, "A Leonard Nimoy Film."

Highly ill-advised. No wonder McCoy hated him.

I, too, have seen this disturbing piece of film before. It made the rounds at the office to much snarky and ironic acclaim. But it deserves every ounce of it: truly a misguided creation. What's next? Mr. Sulu sings hymns to Jar-Jar Binks?

It's a travesty that Peter Jackson didn't integrate the Hobbit dance into LOTR. All that space and money and they didn't find a minute for it? Such poor research is unacceptable at that level, IMHO.

Lest we descend in completing dissing Mr. Nimoy, a nice Jewish boy from Boston's West End who apart from making awful music has done nothing wrong to anybody, here's a nice item from today's Boston Globe:
THE ART OF NIMOY Mr. Spock was touring the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on Tuesday. Leonard Nimoy -- actor, singer, art collector, Boston native -- has been hitting the museum circuit this week with his wife, Susan. That's because the Nimoys, who split their time between Los Angeles and New York, have started a foundation to support the visual arts. In its first year, the Nimoy Foundation gave to 16 organizations across the country, including the Gardner, Institute of Contemporary Art, MASS MoCA, MIT's List Center, and the Addison Gallery in Andover. And tonight, Nimoy narrates a performance of "Souls on Fire" at the Tremont Temple Baptist Church. "We believe that the arts are very, very vital to the economic health of our community," Nimoy said.

If you've ever been to the IMAX theater at the Museum of Science, you'd hear Nimoy narrating the "Celebration of New England" piece that precedes every showing.

I'm not a big fan of the original 'Star Trek', but 'In Search Of...' alone makes up for any crappy music. I'm not sure that it completely compensates for 'Three Men and a Baby', but it's a start.

I made the mistake of showing this to my 10-year old son, a Hobbit fan, last night. This morning he came into our bedroom and woke me up by singing and dancing the Hobbit song...
