Uli (or anybody else)

I've never been to the Chicago Jazz Festival before. Any idea approximately how many people will be at the Petrillo shows on Sunday? I'd like to go if the crowd isn't too large. Also, any word on the status of the Monksieland Band after the passing of Mr. Lacy. I'd still love to see Rudd and Douglas do something together.

I don't know what you mean by "if the crowd isn't too large." From my experience you can always get a seat. My guess is they have seating for about 3-4,000 people; maybe someone else can give a better estimate. Also, many people camp out on the lawn further back. As with any free show your best bet for prime seating is to arive at least 30 minutes before the first set.

According to the Jazz Institute of Chicago's website, Don Byron will be appearing with the Monksieland band for this gig, which will be dedicated to Lacy's memory.
