Recent Matchlesses
This is just a practical question. If anyone has got the new Prevost/Chant/Edwards & Parker/Prevost, can they confirm whether there are any liner notes? I was slightly surprised to get review copies with blank booklets inside--not usual practice for Matchless.
First impressions (from listening to a quarter hour of the first, & half an hour of the Parker/Prevost) is that these will go in the "work" rather than "pleasure" pile for me.

Recently, I got a copy of the Tilbury/Prevost without any liner notes too.
Don't know for these others

Sheesh, I hate that when you open up the booklet & it's a couple blank pages. As a bookdealer I know, Peter Riley, said in a slogan printed in the corner of the back page of one catalogue (which was otherwise covered with additional lists of books for sale): "NEVER SEND A BLANK PAGE THROUGH THE MAIL".

Kinda dangerous to omit liners on the Parker/Prevost....it's, er, kind of symbolic of the music inside, which is a very minor footnote to Most Materiall.

No liners (apart from the brief quotations) in any of them except the Wolff. Eddie's new book's released at almost exactly the same time, which although I haven't asked, provides some explanation.
