"The Accidental Soldier"

Military doctors are probably closer to the results of war than anyone. They see the consequences and are called upon to be healers in this human disease known as "war."

This article, today's cover story at Salon truly touched me more than any other profile or article concerning American soldiers in Iraq so far.

I hope you will take the time to read it.

Since I don't subscribe to Salon, and I don't want to get their "one day pass", I wasn't able to read the whole article.

Too bad, JMJ. It's a good article. Worth taking a minute for the day pass, but I'm not in charge of your time.

Unfortunately, I thought the article was too long to post here in a thread. Not being able to get to a linked article has happened to me before too, which is why I generally prefer cut and paste.

Oh, well.
