Is it me, or is this in poor taste?

My ISP is Time-Warner's RoadRunner and I use their opening page when I sign on. This is what I found just now. I hope you can see it (JC's image size limit is annoying), but I think it is in very poor taste. Let me know if I am being overly sensitive:

It's not meant the way it looks, I hope...but yes, it's a bit insensitive.

I can't qualify it, Chris.

It might have been unintentional, but I agree that it is in poor taste.

I also hope that it was unintentional, though they should realize that "headlines" these days could be very volatile ... and worse.

Even with my poor eyesight and the very small image, I think I can make out what Chris is bothered by, Goody. Here's hoping.

I don't know. It looks to me like there might be a teeny head on the bottom of the picture. I can't tell.

Yeah, I saw that too, Randy. I was hoping that was the very top portion of the video tape of him pleading for his life. If not ... totally tasteless, disgusting and beyond!

There is absolutely no justification for this kind of "journalism."

Just to be clear, that is not a picture of his decapitated head. That is a picture from when he was pleading for his life. What was unfortunate about the picture was that it was cropped off right at the head. Again, I don't know if that was intentional or a dumb mistake. Either way, it's in poor taste.

It is the top portion of the videotape, but they have cropped it so that we don't see the rest of his body.

I should point out that showing only the top part of someone's face is the style Road Runner has chosen to maintain, but this is a case where adhering to their style becomes poor taste, IMO.

I wish JC wouldn't have such a ridiculously restrictive limit on image size. Organissimo and AAJ are more sensible in this respect. Sometimes I find myself attaching an image to a Organissimo post, then linking to it here. That really should not be necessary. Can we have a petition?

Can't you just link to the Road Runner homepage, or does it require a login to display?
