T.h.e.m.

Totally Hidden Extreme Magic. Just watched the debut (?) shows tonight on NBC. Pretty cool stuff. A cadre of street magicians, kind of updating the things David Blaine made his name on, victimizing hapless bystanders. Candid Camera with nifty magic tricks. The final bit, where temps were removing a box of stuff ostensibly belonging to an ex-employee who was recently murdered in the same building, was excellent. The victim gets into an elevator, quickly joined by a large, brooding guy in a dark overcoat. As the elevator begins to descend, the guy, back facing the rear wall, starts groaning and begins to slide up the elevator walls. Great, heart attack-inducing stuff.

Also generally fine examples of people willing to accept the miraculous (spiritual) nature of unusual things happening as opposed to figuring it must be a trick.

I should post a link to the Creationism in the U.K. thread here.

Mean spirited,

Larry, you suck.

Don't take it personally.

Mo steals Larry's trademark sendoff just for the hell of it,

shitty acting.....tricks were awfully amusing though.

I think in the back of their minds, some of thoose guys knew that it was a trick,
cause some of them weren't that freaked out...if they figured it was some extra-terestrial force, they would be a whole lot more scared.

......now, why weren't you people watching the one hour special of My Wife And Kids on ABC?

You know, I'd caught a commercial for the show (T.H.E.M.) and made a mental note that it might be worth catching. Come 8PM last night, I actually (amazingly) remembered it but thought it was on ABC, settled down and watched, to my horror, as "My Wife and Kids" came on. I think I only exposed myself to about 8 seconds of it so I'm optimistic about not having received any permanent damage.

btw, I'm sure I capitalized T.H.E.M. in the thread title. Wah' happened? Magic!?!?
