hello again

maybe this should be in the alley...

I know I missed the recent hang and I feel awful about it

been a very hard year for me for many years

just hope that my friends here are still my friends

currently weeping listening to one of the *greatest* recordings this boy has ever heard, Gianluigi Trovesi's 1992 masterwork, "From G to G"

maybe I need to listen more.....

peace and blessings

Good to see you, Steve! To welcome you back, "From G To G" goes in the player. Maybe, others could do the same...

Steve,

I was sorry that I didn't get the chance to meet you at the hang in May, but it's great that you are back. Sorry you've been having such a hard year...here's hoping that the second half of 2004 brings you brighter days...

Several days ago I listened to "How Does Power Work?" from The Mystery of Compassion and thought about you man. Hope everything is on the up and up.
I'd bust your balls about not being able to make the hang from such a close proximity but I drove all the way from New Orleans to be there.........

Holler Up, baby

Nice to see your name attached to a thread again, Steve. Here's hoping the 2nd half of 2004 brings you what you need.

I'll spin Jim Pepper & Mal Waldron's - Art of the Duo in your honor.

Spinning at Trixie, baby!

That's a good line. Is it yours, or is it from a song lyric?

You were missed at the Vision Festival by friend & foe alike.

Steve,

I haven't seen you much lately and it's good to see you. The rest of these motherf**kers don't have anything on you with your passion for the music.

Coming down the mountain, baby

No Reynolds but a pretty good cheap imitator,
Larry

Welcome back, man!

We've never met in person, but I feel like I *know* you after reading all of those posts "back in the day."

I can definitely relate to your trials and travails, having experienced some major speed bumps along the "street of dreams" these past few months myself - haven't hung out here much for that reason.

I am listening to "From G to G" right now; I didn't even know I had this, I bought it a long time ago on somebody else's rec. When I saw that Reynolds had played it and then Cem I thought I'd at least check out what my Trovesi was. Lo and behold. Good thing I alphabetized at least some of these suckers.

I hope you have "Les Hommes Armes." It's arguably as good.
