RIP - Jerry Goldsmith

http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/07/2....ap/index.html

One of the great composers of film music has passed. Goldsmith's music meant a lot to me growing up and even now. Take care Jerry, and thank you for helping me feel what music is really about.

P.S. --
Heard about James Williams too. A sad day for music, ths is.

Goldsmith was undoubtedly one of the true greats in film music of all time, and without question one of the top four in our contemporary era ..his work will be missed ..

I wasn't aware that he had been fighting cancer for a long time ..

RIP Jerry ..

His scores for Patton and Chinatown helped make them some of the best movies, ever.
