How Do I Post A Quick Reply?

I would like to post quick replies, I see the quick reply box, but it will not let me do it?

You have to click the Quick Reply icon in the lower-right corner of any post before you type your message in the Quick Reply box. Then click Post Quick Reply underneath the Quick Reply box. Did you get that far?

If you change your mind and decide to post a "regular" reply, in which more format codes are available, you can get the "regular" Reply box to pop up by clicking Go Advanced.

This reply is a Quick Reply. (I got the image of the Quick Reply icon by entering the IMG codes manually.)

Not with the moves you have to make to post it. And it takes the same amount of time to arrive.

The only time difference should be the time it takes the 'regular' screen to come up. When you click 'Quick', the box is activated by your computer rather than the website, so in theory you may save a second. I think 'Quick reply' is a throwback to really slow modems.
