I have a question:
Do you communicate musically as well as you do verbally?

i communicate musically and verbally exceptionally well. The written word seems to have some problems, ironically i have an english degree, somewhere after completing all my lit requirements i snapped and stopped looking back when typing. Piss poor typing skills make it seem even worse. musically i kick ass dont worry

Sometimes "don't look back" is bad advice.

I'm sure it's more than 5.
At any rate, I only bother because I suspect you might actually have something to say behind the pseudo-hip quasi-illiterate act.

it takes longer to write without punctuation i dont know how you do it so fluidly can you tell me why you do it that way is this any indication of how your music works
im not sniping just trying to understand if the monotony of this type of writing translates into other aspects of your life

On issues of punctuation, it bothers me somewhat when I see the word piano presented as pno. I mean, crap, one more character and you could have had the whole word!

saltwatersnow the name is from a line in a poem of mine. No signifigance other than i thought it sounded good as an email address. the typing and puncuation lapses have no philosphical underpinning, and nothing to do with any art of music i make, just a product of distraction and never mastered eyes free typing. A lot of the time im posting im either in the middle of substitute teaching or another activity, so im forced to hunt and peck at the keyboard. I also like the way it feels to not think out thoughts beforehand, kind of debate improv. As everyone has let me know improv does not translate into the most coherent and readable posting style.

my friend is moving out of his astoria apartment and on friday all that will be left inside of it is an organ and a bed so he is having a party/concert. If anyone in new york is interested in coming out and hearing a quartet of organ and various electronics instruments played by john clair, jed shahar, andrew sosis, and loren steele write me an email at saltwatersnow@yahoo.com and i can give you some directions.. figure people show up between 9 and 10 music at about 11

Arrival records vam009- John Clair/ Andrew Sosis - Filigree
John Clair- tenor sax, portable feedback guitar, cymbal, piano, harmonica
andrew Sosis- electronics, psaltery
Arrival records vam010- John Clair- Early August
John Clair- exposed wires
Both disks are improvised music and come with a special previously unpublished poem by John Clair.
thanks and please forward to anyone who may be interested
-John

Message to Walto:
why not check this guy out , and report back on your
reactions?
If his projects prove to be on something resembling the interaction of "Screwdriver", I'd possibly be interested in hearing some of it ..
