Haven't heard much news coverage of this story from the US side of the media world. Is there any discussion wrt this plan as part of the election BS? What is the Democrat's position? Seems that our new gov't on the Cdn side of the border is jumping on board the missile defence bandwagon:

Perhaps Mr Martin [Canada's Prime Minister] should learn a little more about the Missile Defence Systems since Reagan's Money Pit and make a more informed decision. Raetheon [a HUGE defence contractor, still favoured by this Bush administration as well as his father's] has made pots and pots of money, even though it's pride and joy, the "Patriot Missile" still in use, most recently in Iraq, leaves a lot to be desired.

You're in Canada. Google "The Fifth Estate" 's web site There have been several investigations of the Patriot missile, as well as tons of stuff about Afghanistan and Iraq.

I've lost track of how much has been spent on this scam. Just imagine the damn thing should work. Imagine you are a terrorist and want to do us harm. Can't you think of a way to do it. Of course you can/ What a waste of large gloobs of money just for political purposes.

And today it appears that Bush is now ahead by 12 points. Whats the matter with this electorate??? Geez.
