Pages too wide for my 15" screen

It seems to me that until a day or two ago, I could see a whole page on my little monitor without scrolling side-to-side. (I use the "lo-fi blue" style.) But something happened to make me have to move back and forth. Is there some new bell or whistle that now requires more page space (& that nobody would miss if it were removed)? Or is this just some random sunspot-type computer thing on my own box?

Not that it's terribly important.

Walto, it happens on some threads when huge pictures are posted thru img. So far it looks we two are the only ones whining about it. I did it on the feedback thresd.

Uli's diagnosis that it should be limited to thread pages with large images should be correct. Walter, this thread is ok, right? I can shrink my browser window arbitarily without scrolling appearing, so it's not a new absolute dimension of the tables in the page.

"Walter, this thread is ok, right?"

I think this thread is OK, but the pages that list all the recent postings on the various boards each require back and forth jiggling. I think there's one too many little icons (like envelopes and arrows) on them.

Did it just start for you too, or have you had this problem all along? In my case, until recently, the only time I'd had to deal with it was back when mone changed the default style to the hi-fi gray for a couple days. After I changed back to lo-fi, this wasn't an issue until a couple days ago.

It started for me relatively recently. As a zolo guy I did not realize that mone changed the default. It's only on a couple of threads for me. They all show big pictures. Some of the "alpha" artist threads and the Bad Plus thread for example.
