Sleepwalking
I had my first incident last night sleepwalking. My wife found me in the bathroom, peeing in the bathtub! Now, I'm likely more sickened than you are at this moment cuz it's the first time something like this has happened to me, and its was much worse than common sleepwalking incidents like opening the refridgerator door.
I'm wondering if this has been going on for some time, or just started. Does anyone else have this problem? Should I see a shrink or something?
FWIW, I don't remember peeing at all. I just remember the look of disgust from my wife.

Some nights, that's how it goes. Oh, wait... you were talking about sleepwalking. Sorry.
Not as funny as he used to be,

You should be glad you were sleepwalking, my mom's second husband used to pee in the bathtub when he was at an avanced stage of alzheimer.
My brother used to sleepwalk quite often when he was young. He would get up and walk around, sometimes telling something nobody could understand. Only once my mom was afraid, when she cought him outside the house obviously going toward the neighbor. He said he was going to swim. The only problem was he didn't swim at all.
My mom asked the doctor about that. He said to avoid anything hard to digest before going to bed. So he stopped eating his usual 2 peanut butter sandwiches. But he kept sleewalk from time to time all over his teens.

I do feel a bit absentminded today.
I also am going to court this afternoon, could that subconsciencously be the cause?

I can see why you would feel alarmed. It coulda been worse though--my married friends were staying with (his) parents and they woke up one night to the father peeing in his son's boots. Kinda difficult not to take that one personally.

Even the subconscious human brain has a sense of humor. I mean, here it is, a moment when voluntary movements are compromised and the body is susceptible to any number of strange responses. So what does the brain do, given this relatively rare opportunity? Well, apparently, it decides to make you pee. I mean, that's pretty f**king comical.
F**king brains...

Sleepwalking and sleeptalking, as well as what I call "daymares" are a result of a slight break in the fabric of the "wall" in the brain that is supposed to keep you from acting out your movements when you are asleep. Some of the causes can be stress or drug and alcohol abuse , and sometimes it is caused by a "wounding" - somebody hurt your feelings badly, or a parent "slammed" you as a child, or you are just trying to figure out a problem, and it discombobulates you. If one doesn't overdo alcohol or drugs, which is a main cause, along with stress, then the recommended first step in clearing up sleepwalking is to meditate or use relaxation techniques before going to sleep.
Though it is disconcerting, don't let it add to the stress of your daily life. Keep a positive attitude and don't "worry" it. Learn to let things go, and yes, careful what you eat or drink before going to sleep.
My son was having "out-of-the-body" experiences, and it was due to an abusive person in his life who was basically terrorizing him...you've heard of "psychic vampires"? This young lady was draining his positive attitude and creativity, and it sending him for a loop.

If it happened to anybody else but me I'd be the first person laughing. I'm glad I didn't choose the shoe or worse. I think I was worried that I'd fill the bowl and decided to go for something a bit larger.

I was a sleepwalker when I was a child. One time, my parents actually found me outside the house, in the front yard! They eventually put bells on the door handle to my bedroom, so they would hear me if I suddenly got up at 2:30 a.m. This lasted for a couple of years, maybe from the time I was eight until I was ten years old.
Since then, I've had one or two incidents that were kind of strange. A year or so ago I woke up and found myself on the couch (and no, my wife didn't put me there.)
