Today's wish list
8.17.04
1. Cold that has been plaguing me for a week vanishes.
2. Espresso maker appears on my desk, already brewing.
3. Jazzzoline appears and serves me said espresso, dressed as a French maid.
4. Customer calls to say that the big project I'm halfway done with "looks great the way it is, no need to finish it."
5. Detroit News cites study revealing Krispy Kreme donuts are "packed with antioxidants and improve brain synapses."

1) Torn back muscle heals
2) Wife says, "honey, you need to spend more $$$ on bike parts and birding books."
3) Neighbors to our right hauled off by cops, house sold at auction, razed, converted to park.
4) Native tree species evolve overnight to be able to grow in asphalt, take over parking lots everywhere.

8-17-04:
1. What Larry said about Krispy Kreme, only Chianti.
2. The chimney-sweep shows up today.
3. Asheville Wine Market hires me so I don't have to be a rep anymore.

1. I inherit a million dollars from some old guy I didn't even know, who laughed at one of my jokes once.
That's it, actually. I'm not greedy.

Still waiting for jazzzoline to pick up Larry's donut...
I'm down with the Krispy Kreme fantasy...it would be pretty simple for them to enrich those things with cancer fighting agents y'know.
Ed McMahon comes to my door with the Publishers' Clearing House check. I figure that's a balanced wish.

Hey, if you've got the time, I've got the Krispy Kremes.
Granting wishes but short on good recipes,
Larry

How it came out:
1. Drinking a lot of chianti still makes you fat.
2. The chimney sweep showed up at 1 pm, not at 11 am, but he did show up.
3. I didn't go into Asheville Wine Market today because I had other stuff to do but I'll go in there tomorrow, really.

1) As I said, back muscle just tight, not torn, appointment with massage therapist on Thursday. Suggested French Maid's outfit (hoping to emulate my hero, Larry), got turned down.
2) No new leeway in bike/birding budget. Suspect attempts to increase spending power would shorten lifespan. Not pushing.
3) Idiot neighbors still there, as near as I can tell (he's a drunken dolt with the brains of a houseplant, she's a braying redneck amazon).
4) Checked street for sprouts, found none. Damn.

8.18.04 Wish List Results:
1. Still have the cold.
2. Too busy sucking cough drops to drink espresso.
3. Still working on it, with the help of SinginSumo and possibly a big serving of poutine to make the offer more enticing.
4. Customer has decided he needs more, and sooner than originally stated.
5. With no good news about donuts on the horizon, I'm turning my hopes to a discovery that my dog is actually a god of some kind, and will take good care of me because she loves me so much.
Hallucinatory,
Larry

Believe it or not, I know nothing about you OR Larry other than the cities where you live and what you have posted on Jazz Corner. I don't know your ages, whether you have siblings, what either of you look like, etc. However, I am a romantic at heart and love reading your pas de deux everytime that either of you posts about the other.
