Musicians Seeking Musicians

Chicago: Singer/bassist Seeks Guitarist

I'm a professional singer who has been performing originals at cafes. I sing and play electric bass and am looking for a guitarist experienced and flexible enough to play songs that sometimes sound jazz-influenced, sometimes classically-influenced, sometimes Latin-influenced, sometimes pop-influenced, sometimes country-influenced, sometimes Afro-pop influenced, sometimes more like ballads, sometimes more like world beat dance, sometimes more like children's music, etc.

I'm working hard on getting to the gigs that pay, but for now I'm just playing for tips. Any guitarists out there who just want to play interesting music and know that the money will have to come later?

You can see/hear me at www.reginarodriguez.com and respond by emailing me at info@reginarodriguez.com. Thanks.

Vibe player who is not available BUT heard your singing on the website and it is kicking. Sounds like a good gig for some talented quartet of musicians.

Vibeman (who can't play that well and lives in California).

Boston Area: Jazz/Cabaret Pianist Needed ASAP

Extremely outgoing cabaret pianist needed for regular weekly gig ASAP. I am a professional vocalist hosting the show and need an experienced player who possesses the following:

*Diverse repertoire - heavy in jazz, showtune/cabaret music
*Ability to transpose on the spot for various open mic singers
*Outgoing personality - willing and able to work off and with me for comedy skits
*Not required, but ability to harmonize would be outstanding!

The gig is a regular weekly feature gig on Friday nights at a great new lounge in Wilmington, MA...which is about 25 mins north of Boston on Rt. 93 (halfway between Boston and the NH line).

About me: I am a full-time professional vocalist. My website is here: www.tauniasoderquist.com.

The gig starts on Friday, 11/19 and runs every Friday (excluding holidays) after that.
