Exciting news (from Maya)

These may have well been common knowledge or up there for some time now but I just read at the Maya Recordings website of a "first performance of a new composition by Barry Guy at the Taktlos Festival in Basel and Zurich 8 and 9 May. Following these concerts, the BGNO will record this new work for the INTAKT label in Zurich," as well as the "Parker/Guy/Lytton Trio: Tour in May 2004 To celebrate more than 25 years of musical collaboration and friendship and also to mark Evan Parker’s 60th birthday the trio will be performing in Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland and Germany between 14th and 30th May 2004. Maya Recordings will record all of these concerts and release a CD box of live performances together with numerous texts by writer friends and photos by Caroline Forbes."

The earliest we'll see of the recordings, I think, will be sometime in 2005, if that - though I remain hopeful.
