Jonathan Elias' "American River"

For those of you who are interested in a breath of fresh air from the commercial radio and TV music, I happened to run across Jonathan Elias' "American River" CD. If you didn't know, Elias is a well-known classical musician who has composed music for several popular films and television shows.
It's not so much a country album as it is a classical album with some spoken-word performances by prominent country singers, which is how it ended up landing on my desk here at Universal. It's a moving and emotional album with stunning melodic quality and richly textured moods. I really recommend you check this guy out if you haven't.

I'd say it's worth the monetary unit equivalent to about twelve pence or 1/20 of a pound.

Maybe you should scratch it. Anyway I do hope you guys get to atleast take a listen to the song where Johnny Cash and his daughter do a spoken word performance. It's really moving.
