The "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack rules. Of course, I was only about a year old when it came out, but that's beside the point...

And, I may have been late to embrace the new wave, but I never embraced this nasty chick:

"and if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know"
Hee hee hee.
"Free Bird" was my class song. There's no more dismal way to end high school than slow dancing with my miserable prom date to that song's begining and having to make the awkward shift into hyper-drive during the ultra-goofy guitar solo.
On top of that, listening to the words "I'll never change....Lord help me I can't cha-ee-a-ee-a-ee-a-ee-ange"
Such a fitting sentiment for a teen to take with him after graduation.

Underhound, I've been right with you on your choices in the other related threads, but I have to jump off the bus here. Both of those albums still mean a lot to me.
Once, I heard a high school gospel choir from Alabama doing a version of Carry On Wayward Son, and it was quite intense.
"Play it pretty for Atlanta."
Besides, Free Bird is a much better choice than my class song: Goodbye Doesn't Mean Forever (the theme from The Goodbye Girl, composed and performed by Bread's David Gates).

Abbey Road.
Innagaddadavida. My all-time most hated album, then and now.
Vanilla Fudge.

Pearl Jam - Ten
I believe Pearl Jam is one of the most overrated bands ever, and was/is probably the dullest band to come out of the Seattle scene.

Damn. I'd have embraced "Blondie" if I'd ever had the chance. Hell, I'd embrace her now, far's that goes. :-)

Man I second the Seger BIGTIME. One of the worst things about growing up in the Detroit area was being subjected to seemingly endless Seger idolatry. UGH.
May I just add every single Led Zepplin album, and, of course, the entire ouvre of Journey, ELO, Kansas, Styx, Foreigner, Bad Company, REO Speedwagon, Supertramp, Rush, Skynrd (yes!!), or just about any other abomination that was a staple of the horror show of late '70's FM radio.

Oh my!
Al, you must have been quite angry as a youngster.
Although I gladly second Led Zepplin from your list. That is one band that just left me scratching my head everytime I heard one of their songs. I just didn't get it.
Still don't.
They suck.
Stairway to Heaven?
BAH!!!!!

As for the rest of that list, I'll proudly admit to liking at LEAST one song from each of those bands, and I was always a huge Rush fan.

For some obscure reason, that doesn't surprise me.
Why does the name 'Ayn Rand' keep bouncing into my head?

This qualifies as a crime against humanity, I think.
