Who Said This?

"I think it's perfectly clear if you ask people are you going to vote against God or for the Democratic party they will stand with God,"

I guess it figures God's more a Democrat than a Republican, so I think it was God Himself that said it.

I'd have to say Bryan. But it could be an abolitionist during the one hundred years in which the Democrat Party glossed over its support of slavery to appeal to the widest possible electorate.

It could be a Republican or a Democrat. It could be a Democrat saying that Democrats need to emphasize faith more. I don't know who said this.

Alan Keyes

Excerpt from BBC News.

For the first time ever, both major parties have fielded black candidates - Barack Obama for the Democrats and Alan Keyes for the Republicans.....

......Mr Keyes's platform draws heavily on his Christian faith, and his stump speeches are filled with fiery condemnations of abortion, gay marriage and the separation of church and state.

Illinois tends to like its Republicans moderate and pragmatic and Mr Keyes' fire and brimstone campaign has made little impression in the polls, which show a 45-point lead for Mr Obama.

Nonetheless, Mr Keyes is confident his message will prevail.

"I think it's perfectly clear if you ask people are you going to vote against God or for the Democratic party they will stand with God," he says.

Yeah, we certainly don't want any separation of church and state. I think we need to get past all that nonsense, pick a church, and just go full blown with it, everybody who doesn't like it can move to France. Enough with the uppity types who cry oppression every time the government tells them which god to worship. Grow the f**k up already.

Maybe everyone should start having to identify themselves by their religious affiliation--you know, a patch for Muslims, a patch for Jews, a patch for Christians. Then we'll get ourselves some gray jumpsuits and some telescreens in the house where Big Brother Republican can watch us to make sure we don't break any laws. After all, we need to be on the offensive when it comes to law enforcement/drug enforcement/hunting terrorists!

Later we'll round up all those who don't believe in God, put them in internment camps. Dissent will not be tolerated. Protesting should be made illegal.

More cameras on every corner! No more red lights will ever be run! More speed bumps in the street, no one will ever speed again! Cameras in the hallway, cameras on the ceiling, cover every square inch! Make sure it's watched!

Let go and let God!

Yup! It's written there right on his packaging: "New hope for Democrats. DNC approved. 50% brighter. Fresh scent."

Your esteemed president on Sept 21, 2004 at the UN.
