Bush 41 Knocks 'em Dead at Al Smith Dinner

This pissed me off so much, I had to post it. A note to any GOP guys reading this: make your wives read it. If this is not enough incentive for women to agree to not "put out" for any Bush voters, then I don't know what is.

From:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Oct22.html

You have to scroll down a while to find it:

Bringing Down the House

Deborah Orin writes in the New York Post: "President Bush's dad had them rolling in the aisles last night at the Al Smith charity dinner, telling how his wife, Barbara, is ready to clobber John Kerry for all his attacks on their son.

" 'Barbara gets her hands on Senator Kerry, he's going to need another Purple Heart,' former President George H.W. Bush told the crowd at the dinner, sponsored by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York at the Waldorf. . . .

"The elder Bush also seemed to nod at the dinner sponsors' anti-abortion stance, wryly telling of what it's like to visit San Francisco 'in a presidential car as a Republican.'

"He said he was greeted by 'the ugliest group of people I had ever seen,' including one, a woman, who brandished a sign saying, 'Stay out of my Womb.'

"The ex-president brought the house down by quipping, 'No problem, lady.' "

Bush the elder also acknowledged Bush the younger's long history of mangling English, describing how the "current president once wrote a paper in which he insisted that in 1519, Magellan 'set out to circumcise the world.' "

Bush 41 is a real class act, don't you think?

Clearly he is a gentleman of rare quality. I'm reminded of Cary Grant.
I guess Bush 41 hasn't looked in the mirror for a while. He's no oil painting.

I never cease to be amazed at finding myself mentioned in threads in which I haven't posted.

Even if he were Greek-god-like, which he isn't, it was still a mean and nasty comment. I see that meanness in his son's little comments also.

I lost respect for the elder Bush when, on The News Hour, he said that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth had a "compelling" story and compared John Kerry to Jane Fonda.

I've only had the Fred McMurray/Barbara Stanwick avatar. What's wrong with that? How is that "crazy"?

For some reason people think that I have some connection with "Clay Fink", a former poster here at JC. I don't know him, have never met him and wouldn't want to. I'm Ennis and have always been Ennis.

That was awful too, though I lost respect for the man and his whole clan a long, long time ago.

That wouldn't be so bad, but W wants to castrate the world.
