Airchecks - old broadcasts

As a nerd (and one prone to nostalgia) I sometimes listen to reel radio which is a collection of old radio broadcasts , some scoped (the music cut out) and some not. I am listening right now to Todd Chase KQV Pittsburgh August 16 1968.

Some of the adverts are a scream .......the one I had to share was about No Dose ...always keep some in the car glovebox!!!!!

The news updates are scary though Lester Maddox talking about the 68 election, Nam, Eisenhower's health problems.

No 1 in Washington State taht week in '68 "Dream a little dream of me "Mama Cass (they did a coast to coast affiliate hook up!! - cool - the guy in Washington state saying they are conservative up there !)

No 1 in Pittsburgh "Hello, I love you "the Doors

But what a playlist .....Rascals, Supremes etc

GROOVY BABY

(So unhip - i go from belly to thigh!)

There's a couple of people scattered across the country who e-mail me from time to time to tell me they have a lot of my 21 years of radio archived and bring them out from time to time. 1979 - 2000. Great days. Great music.
