Jazz performance helps make grade in Arizona

Jazz performance helps make grade

Nov. 16, 2004 12:00 AM

A benefit concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to raise money for Jazz in Arizona's "How Cool Is Jazz?" program, which teaches Valley fourth-graders about jazz.

The Bob Ravenscroft Trio will perform at ASU's Kerr Cultural Center, 6110 N. Scottsdale Road, in Scottsdale. Tickets are $18 for general admission and $20 for reserved seating. Jazz in AZ members receive a $2 discount.

Jazz in AZ members hope to expand the program that involves jazz musicians performing in the classroom.

Tickets can be purchased by phone at (480) 596-2660 or online at www.asukerr.com. Tickets will also be available on the day of the concert. The box office opens one hour before the event.
