Missing: Sigurd Køhn

Sigurd and his son have been missing since the Tsumani. His wife/partner survived. I think it's very sad.

Sigurd and his band colleagues have been talked about many times on this board by several posters.

Short biography:

Sigurd Køhn

Sigurd Køhn was born in Kristiansand in 1959. He studied with Jan Garbarek during his teens and became a professional musician at the age of 19.

Sigurd joined Lava (one of Norways most popular groups in the eighties), which he recorded four albums with. He has toured with Randy Crawford and a-ha.

In 1992 he formed The Real Thing together with Paul Wagnberg, Staffan William-Olsson and Carl Størmer.

In 1996 he released his first album as a leader, "More Pepper, Please", which was a commercial and artistic success. His second album, called "Woman's got to have it", was released in march 1999. The band's name is Køhn/Johansen Sextet, and the music is a mix of jazz and soul.
