Kansas City's first industrial era boomed in late 1800's to 1930's so KC
has
three large pre-war brick warehouse districts surrounding
downtown. Most of it is still standing. Infinite, countless loft development is
now going on with a rather large arts thing of 60 galleries and a bunch of gay clubs
in one of the districts, yuppie development in another, and edgier
grit of entropy in another. And then we shall cap it off with some
residential developments inside the downtown loop.
Crossroads arts district, South side of downtown.
