Jazz Room warms up in Amesbury

Amesbury Playhouse Dinner Theatre is transforming itself into The Jazz Room for a new weekly entertainment program debuting next week. Starting next Friday, Jan. 21, The Jazz Room will host Boston-area and regional talent every Friday night in the theater at 194 Main St.
To kick off the new offering, The Jazz Room is holding a free opening night next week. The entertainment roster will feature the Rob Mitzner Trio from Boston and the Amesbury High School Jazz Band.
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for those interested in dinner (there will be a charge for appetizers, meals and drinks). The music will start around 8. For details or reservations, call (978) 388-9444.
