These are a few of my favorite things
Papa Jo Jones' laugh at the end of Shoe Shine Boy
The long pauses by the Great Guitars in So Danco Samba
Monk's hats
Crisp apple strudle and Negro Modelo

"I'll play it and tell you what it is later." Miles at the start of If I Were a Bell from Relaxin'.
That righteous moment in My Favorite Things when Coltrane's soprano is dancing all over the place.

...that little shuffle/slide Bobby Hutcherson does with his feet to cover one end of the keyboard to the other!
The simple, beautiful talk Elvin Jones used to do with the audience before launching the Jazz Machine...

Where Coltrane comes blasting back in in the second half of the track Sun Ship. Oh, and the rest of the album too.
McCoy Tyner's piano in Love from First Meditations.
Eric Dolphy's bass clarinet solo on Spiritual.
Lonnie's Lament's simple but beautiful melody.
That feeling of oh shit here we go at the beginning of Interstellar Space.
India.
Transition.
That Trane recorded so much great music in such a sort space of time.
What a fantastic explosion of creativity. I've kept my list to Trane moments as he, particularly around 1964/5, is still is my favorite musician period.

Roger Humphrey's drumming on "Song For My Father"
Miles rhythm section on "Surrey. . ."
Pepper Adams' bari exploding out of the big band.
Joe Williams singing "Joe's Blues."

Zoot Sims.
Jimmy Rowles.
Better yet, Zoot and Jimmy together.
As Woody Herman said, "Zoot Sims, MY MAN!"

Miles' ectastic re-entry near the end of Walkin'.
The beautiful melody of "Duke Ellington's Sound of Love"--and Don Pullen's solo on it.
The phenomenal assortment of sections on Duke's "Ad Lib on Nippon--and the solos by Jimmy Hamilton and Duke.
Miles' opening and closing on "The Man I Love"; the seemingly almost unwillful interplay of Miles and Monk on the same.
Any Sonny Rollins cadenza.
Bill Frisell and Don Byron on "My Thief"--possibly the most beautful duet I have ever heard.
Trane's relatively gentle spiritual statements on tunes like "Wise One," "Alabama," and "Welcome."
The deep, deep bass playing of Charlie Haden on "Ramblin."

I was about to quote these two before I scrolled down to David's post.

Dave Lambert's scatting
Jimmy Smith's sustained b-3 chords
Jimmy Rowles' inimitable version of "Rose Marie"
Gil Evans' minimalist groove on "La Nevada"
