THe new post your time out here
Well, kiddies, next Sunday, the 6th of Feb., we're off for our annual sojourn on the beach in Zihuatanejo. We're there until the 23rd and will probably post a couple of times from the internet cafes just to kep in touch, but, for the most part, we'll be basking under a palapa, reading a bunch of no-brain books, snorkeling, eating great Mexican food and partying with all our friends from all over the us and canada.
This will be the 24th year we've stayed there, same hotel, same room.
If you are actually interested in our home away from home it's www.catalinabeachresort.com

have fun Clint ...
and be careful of ice cubes in the airport in your drinks!
( they were my downfall in the Cancun airport -after a squirt free weekend at my dotter-in-laws wedding many moons ago )

Wait a minute, Clint. Didn't you and Donna just get back from Mexico? Or am I in a time warp?

I think you'll discover that I'm not all wet on this one, Mike. I distinctly remember that Mr. & Mrs. Jazzooo and Mr. & Mrs. Chile Pepper were in Mexico at the same time. And, it wasn't that long ago.
I'm envious as hell, that's all.

Geez, you guys exagerate, we were in Mexico in Oct-Nov. That's almost three months ago f'r Pete's sake.
I do think that Doug and the lovely Glenda are in or about to go back to their new pad in SMA.
I'll say hello to Andy and Red in Zihuatanejo for you guys.

Just so you folks know, I'm off to Indianapolis for the next week, to visit family and do research. I may find time to post here and there, but probably not. I'll be back a week from this coming Sunday.
Cheers.

I'll be gone for a week starting tomorrow, Feb. 24. I'm going to San Diego for a week, and hope to hook up with Doug Robinson while there. Any other San Diego residents on the board? If so, PM me!

Patti and I are headed to California Friday night, returning on April 25th. We'll be eating great food, enjoying our sons & daughter-in-law, and playing with and hugging our newest grandchild, Reed. I'll check in when possible, but will mostly be disconnected from the internet.
Please continue to contribute to Dobie's CD Drive. Thanks.

I'm leaving this morning for our annual spring holiday in Ireland: a few days in county Wexford with the in-laws, a few days in Dublin, then back home on May 1.

Just back from a week in DC. At the Lincoln Memorial, we recreated an important photo from my childhood. As a lifelong Lincoln fan (being born on his b-day), my parents took me to DC when I was 8 and my father snapped a picture of me looking up at that impossibly gigantic and imposing statue, thoroughly awestruck. My daughter, 8, wanted to emulate the pose and the photo is a wonderful companion to the 37-year-old original.
