I recently heard, very briefly, some great music that said was from the Ripptoons, the pice was: 'Seven Nigths in Rome', or so it said I only cached the final moments, i've been trying to find it throughout the net to no avail,I would appretiate any help, if someone finds it i'm sure you would like them also, it was in the contemporary jazz nomenclature.

Could that be "The Rippingtons?"

Although "Ripptoons" isn't a bad name for them, either.

The song "Seven Nights in Rome" is on the following album:

ARTIST: The Rippingtons (note the spelling; Moné was correct)
ALBUM TITLE: Black Diamond
LABEL: Windham Hill 11271 (CD or cassette) (1997)

I found that out by entering the song title into the search engine at All Music Guide online:

LOL! Okay, I found it out by looking in the "frequently played" part of my album collection.

Warcio--Please ignore this part of the thread; we're just fooling around.

Well, they're about as anti-Blakey as you can get!

Yeah, I choose all of my albums for their anti-Blakeyness, as measured on the AB scale.

Boy, do I appretiate The Rip-Thongs! Hello? I'd like to rip your thong...

Dennis--I liked the relatively subtle version better. (There's always a critic.)

Yes, blue, I stand chastised. I should be a better example for the young Johannes in our midst. The thong I was referring to was, of course, the little rubber sandal that squeaks when you walk and disturbs my concentration. That's why I'd love to "rip it off"! Truly, I am not a violent man. Ahem...

I can't wear thongs. I have a phobia about putting anything between my big and middle toes.

Where is this thread going?

Between your toes. Now that would feel weird.
