Salsaroots.com, the heart and soul of Salsa history is a San Francisco Bay Area website devoted to the history of the Afro-Cuban, Afro-Puerto Rican and African American dance and music forms that are the foundation of what we call Salsa. Salsaroots.com has articles, photos, CD reviews, links, interviews, dance apparel, recommended CDs, books and videos about Salsa history.

The organization also sponsors dance workshops and symposiums and promotes Salsa events.

The site is updated weekly and we are always interested in feedback and contributors.

Dr Dave

The "What Is Salsa" article is fun to read. The San Francisco Salsa Dance Lesson Calendar is a hoot. A few annoying pop-ups, but what else is new. The t-shirt is spectacularly ugly, so much so that I'm thinking about getting one.
